Since 1994 Rustem has been advising foreign clients on general corporate finance and corporate management issues. He is experienced in formation of more than 30 foreign-owned companies as well as in accreditation of numerous representative offices of overseas companies, such as a Japanese car manufacturer and a German window profile factory. Apart of advisory work, Rustem has worked as a board’s member in the airport for an Austrian venture capital fund and the general director of a German-Russian JV for several years. He has often spoken, e.g. in Germany, Austria and Italy, and written on diverse issues of Russian company law.

  • Assisting the Swiss producer of fertilizers on appointment of its Russian general manager. 

  • Advising a German stockholder on organization of extraordinary and annual general meetings of stockholders of a Russian joint venture AO.


  • Advising an Austrian and a German company on corporate governance issues connected with appointment of several OOO executive directors.


  • Сoersion of the Russian companies registrar (the tax inspectorate) to insert registration data into the EGRYuL by means of administrative proceedings.


  • Advising a construction company on payment of interim dividends.


  • Assisting an Italian company engaged in aerospace activities in formation of company participating in Skolkovo project.


  • Advising an Italian shareholding company on challenging series of asset stripping transactions (such as intercompany loans, lease, pledge and deliveries) containing personal interest of the managing director and dissolution of a JV in the City of Oryol.
